Our commitment
Geneva Academy is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, and keyboard-only navigation. We want every family in Roseburg and Douglas County to be able to learn about our school with ease.
The standard we aim for
We work to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act. This includes sufficient color contrast, text alternatives for images, clear heading structure, visible keyboard focus, labelled forms, and support for reduced-motion preferences.
What we have done
Our pages use semantic HTML landmarks and headings, a skip-to-content link, descriptive alt text on meaningful images, keyboard-operable menus and tabs, and color choices tested for contrast. Animations respect the operating-system setting for reduced motion.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is a continual process rather than a one-time task. As we add pages and features, we review them against these standards and correct issues as we find them. If a third-party document or embedded tool is not yet fully accessible, we will provide the information in another format on request.
